How it works
An IPL flashlamp emits broadband light spanning ultraviolet, visible and infrared. Cut-off filters then pass only the band the indication needs: 610-1200nm for hair reduction, where follicle melanin is the target; 530-1200nm for rejuvenation; 585-1200nm for vascular work, where oxyhemoglobin absorbs; plus optional 560nm pigment and 430nm acne filters. Every Pmise IPL path uses a dual filtration system that strips everything below 400nm, keeping UV off the skin entirely.
E-light adds RF current that flows between the handpiece electrodes. Because RF penetrates regardless of skin colour and heats the dermis directly, it lowers the optical energy the light must carry, which is precisely the margin that makes treatment of darker or tanned clients more forgiving. The physics is the same selective photothermolysis, with an electrical assist.
